Joining the Ring
Before you join there are a few things you should keep in mind:
- This webring is intended to join together the sites of webowners who enjoy reading. Your site does not have to be entirely about books, reading, or writing, although if it is we certainly would love that! Blogs, personal sites, fanshrines, fanlistings - all are welcome so long as you meet the criterion.
- It goes without saying that sites that promote illegal activities and or are otherwise found to contain offensive material will not be allowed to join. My apologies, but as the ring owner I'd everyone who travels the ring in search of like-minded webmasters to have a fun and safe virtual trip.
- Please refrain from placing odd characters and abusive lettering in your site title (ie: +~*My SiTe*~+). It looks silly and will be edited appropriately.
- Place the webring code up on your site before you join or immediately there after, and please place it in a easy to find location. If I cannot find it I will assume it's not up and you will not be added to the ring.
- If you do not care for the generic webring code that is provided for you upon completion of the join form there are alternative text codes and hopefully soon image codes listed on the code page. You are also more than welcome to make your own. :)
- Last but certainly not least, the generic fanlisting ring code that will be provided to you after you fill in your information will contain the following ASCII characters for navigation: «, ¿, #, ». Ringsurf will provide the code with these characters in place instead of their ASCII codes. Not all FTP and editor programs will allow you to insert the characters as they are properly and will require the ASCII codes. Should this happen I have provided the webring code as you would need it on the code page. Please make note of your id number in the code and substitute it with where appropriate in the code on the code page.
I have read and understood the rules, and I hereby agree to follow them.
